MICHAEL SKIMOS

MICHAEL SKIMOS, 84, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in Fort Wayne. Born in Macedonia, Greece, Michael worked at International Harvester for 29 years. He was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church. Surviving are his wife, Constance Skimos of Fort Wayne; son, John M. Skimos of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jean (Chris) Giovis of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Thomas M. Giovis of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jaclyn (Frank) Giovis Wolff of Los Angeles, Calif.; and brother, William (Anthoula) Skimos of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katherine Skimos; and a sister, Fani Pentsios. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Ave., with calling one hour prior and Entry Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 South Calhoun St., with Trisagion Prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
