NANCI CARNAHAN Obituary

NANCI ANN CARNAHAN, 81, of Fort Wayne, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home. Born May 4, 1939, in Auburn, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Magdalene (Conner) Houghton. She married Raymond R. Carnahan on June 6, 1955 at Auburn Church of the Nazarene. Nanci had a very strong faith in her Lord and was a great supporter of Life Bridge Church in Fort Wayne. She was also a member of the Jackson Homemakers Club, Seasoned Women of LBC and Ladies Gideons Auxillary. She enjoyed reading, playing on her iPad, gardening, filling shoe boxes and volunteering for Operation Christmas Child, jewelry making classes at the church, making peanut brittle at Christmas and spending time with her family playing cards and just talking. Surviving are her husband, Raymond Carnahan of Fort Wayne; daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Burton of Deep Gap, N.C., and Christie Carnahan Whitton of Columbia City, Ind.; son, Brian (Roberta) Carnahan of Spencerville, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Sandy Carnahan of Auburn, Ind.; grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Carnahan of Auburn, Ind., Adam Carnahan of Fort Wayne, Michael Burton of Deep Gap, N.C., Dustin Burton of Deep Gap, N.C., Robert Carnahan of Auburn, Ind., Maggie Spencer of Spencerville, Ind., and Nicholas (Allyson Blomberg) Carnahan of Spencerville, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Luke, Jade, Noah, Emma, Ayrian, McKenna, Lily, Sophia, Asher, Zebulun, Tobias, and Juniper; sisters-in-law, Betty Houghton of Auburn, Ind., Opal Georgi of Fort Wayne, Frances Carnahan of Auburn, Ind., and Sherry Carnahan of Fort Wayne; and brother-in-law, Harry (Mary Ann) Carnahan of Leo, Ind. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Lynn Carnahan; brothers, David (Barbara) Houghton and James Houghton; sister, Miriam Houghton; and brothers-in-law, Clifford Carnahan, Ralph (Jackie) Carnahan, Jim Carnahan, and Robert Georgi. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Life Bridge Church, 12719 Corbin Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour before service. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at the church. Burial following the service in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, Ind.
