Neil Dunkelberger Obituary

NEIL E. DUNKELBERGER, 81, of Angola, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004. He was a retired Aeronautical Engineer. He also owned Universal Parts Co. in Chicago for 19 years and Bendix Missile Co. in Mishawaka for 19 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. His first wife, Roberta, died in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; son, Michael of South Bend; daughter, Cheri Pierson of Wheaton, Ill.; stepsons, Lynn and Dale Smathers, both of Hudson, Philip Smathers of Kinkerhook, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchild-ren; and a brother, Bill of Pennsylvania. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Hudson United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Hudson. Burial at a later date. Memorials to Tri State University or Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Neil and I have known each other for many years.We graduated from Tri-State College as it was known in those days.Later in life we kept in touch with Neil & his wife.He was a very good person and it was a great pleasure to have known him all these years.
