Paul Steigmeyer Obituary

PAUL S. STEIGMEYER, 73, a Korean War Army Veteran, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and involved with St. Charles Finance Committee and served as an officer and director at Catholic Cemetery, Byron Health Center, The Francison Center and Saint Ann Home & Retirement Community. He also served on various committees of The Allen County and State Bar Associations. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's College and law degree from Indiana University. He was a retired partner from Barrett McNagy. Survivors include sons, Clement J. "C.J." (Jenny) and Nathan P. (Katie), both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sarah E. (Scott) Robinson and Emily M. (Mark) Walden, both of Fort Wayne and Clare E. (Kevin) Sheddy of Fishers; 12 grandchildren; brother, Dr. David of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mary Federspiel and Carol Offerle, both of Fort Wayne; and twin sister, Susan Haffner of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn A. Steigmeyer; and brother, John. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with Vigil at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to St. Charles Tuition Assistance.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Mr. Steigmeyer. He was my fathers as well as my attorney for many many years. HE was also a friend and did many favors for our entire family. I saw him every few months and will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God guide you through the rough times ahead.
