PETER SWITZER Obituary
PETER M. SWITZER, 63, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at home. He was a 1965 graduate of Elmhurst High School. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a heavy equipment operator with Indot for 30 years. Surviving are his ex-wife friend and caregiver, Debra Fugate; daughters, Amber (Jerry) Peterson and Devon (Michael I) Spaulding; son, Peter (Delicia) Switzer II; grandchildren Conner and Maddy Peterson, Britany, Raegan, Michael II, and Ivee Jane Spaulding, Peter III, Rayden and Eli Switzer; and stepmother, Patricia Switzer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardivee Switzer; and father, Fredrick Switzer. Service is noon Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Northside Missionary Church, 736 Lillian Ave., with calling one hour prior. Memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. You will be greatly missed and definitely remembered Pete. You've been around my whole life and you were a good friend to my Dad and Uncle. Very kind quiet man but when you laughed everyone laughed! RIP Pete.

We are so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. Although we moved from Fort Wayne 30+ years ago, we both think of all our high school and Wayndale friends often. We were very close to Pete way back when. Wish we could be there to help comfort you with the many wonderful memories we have of him. Goodbye old friend.

Sorry to hear of the loss of Pete.We worked with him at the IDOT was alot of fun and a great person. May God comfort you at this time of need.Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
