Phyllis L. Reeb Rekeweg

Phyllis L. Reeb Rekeweg, 80, of Harlan, IN, passed away peacefully at her home September 16, 2025, she was born in Fort Wayne to the late Elvin and Mary Fordham. Phyllis devoted her early career as a nursery school teacher at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Later, she served as a bus driver for East Allen School Corporation, where her warmth and care touched countless lives. A faithful member of Promise Ministries, Phyllis found joy in tending to her landscaping and spending time outdoors among her flowers. She cherished the monthly gatherings with her Harlan High School classmates, the beloved "'63 girls", a tradition that brought her laughter and memories. Above all, Phyllis's greatest joy was her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 10 years, Mike Rekeweg; children, Veronica (Randy) Hauser, Scott (Tracie) Reeb; Steve (Julie) Rekeweg, Tony (Vicki) Rekeweg, and Jake (Angie) Rekeweg; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Reeb; son, Chad Reeb; grandson, Chevy Reeb; and brother, Paul Fordham. The service is 10:30 am, Monday, September 22, 2025, at Promise Ministries, 7323 Schwartz Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46835 with calling one hour prior. Calling also 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the church. Burial at Scipio Cemetery of Harlan, IN. Memorials may be made to Promise Ministries or the Harlan Christian Youth Center.
