Phyllis A. Weingartner

Phyllis A. Weingartner, 94, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on May 11, 2025, Born on April 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marcella (Steiger) Schnelker. Phyllis worked as the office manager at Ellison Bakery for 30 years. She was a devout member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edward (Becki), Art (Julie), Stephan (Kathleen Shook), Robert (Amy Stoner) Weingartner, and Judi (Fred) Orr; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Richard) Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Joseph E. Weingartner; granddaughter, Haley; her parents; sister, Dolores Marshall; and brother, Alan Schnelker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Ft Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, Ft Wayne, with a Rosary recited at 8 p.m. Burial at Catholic Cemetery, Ft Wayne.
