We have so many great memories of Dick, usually funny or outrageous. I knew Dick from St. John's choir from the time I was about 15. Later, the diner became a daily stop for both of us. He and Rosemary became good friends and, in 1953, Dick sang at our wedding. We loved him and will miss him greatly. Our prayers are with you, Rosemary, and your family.

Rosemary, Dan and Diane,
I smile when I think about the sweet, ornery man who would call and identify himself only as "Grandpa Dick." He was a special person and we loved him dearly. His hugs and smile will be missed.

You will be in our prayers.

God Bless Dick. What a great guy and neighbor. Let's celebrate his life here and his life everlasting
with our Father in Heaven. Also many blessings to Rosemary for her loss of a wonderful man. I'm sure Gods love will show Himself in many ways to her and the family.

I worked at Rogers along with my brothers Denny and Tony who worked for Dick in Produce in the early 1980s. I’d like to think that everything we learned about the value of an honest day’s work we learned there. Dick was always upbeat and could always make me laugh.

I will miss Uncle Dick because he was a good man. He showed me his 78 rpm record collection 9 years ago and got me interested in records too. He told me memories when he was kid when I took a trolley ride in Fort Wayne in 1999 on my grandmothers 75th birthday. It is like on the movie Charlotte's Web. We are born, we live, and we are old we die. I really love him a lot.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and with the family. I had the privelege of working with Dick for many years at Rogers Markets.
Dick was the produce manager while I was one of the store managers. I knew Dick as a faithful employee, a hard worker, and as a loving and kind, gentleman. I left Rogers in 1978, eventually entered into the ministry and later lost track of Dick. My father, known by his professional radio name as Bob Carlin, worked for WOWO Radio as their morning news anchorman and also spoke of the many occassions when he and Dick shared some very special times at Tiny Tims. To Richard I say "Thanks for the memories." To the family I say, hold tight to the memories of those special occassions you shared with him and allow God to bring you the peace of His presence.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I had the privelege of working with Dick at Rogers for many years, he was in produce, I was in store management. I left Rogers in 1979 and later went into the ministry. I knew Dick as a hard worker, fun loving, kind gentleman. My father,Bob Carlin, WOWO Radio news anchorman and frequent customer of Tiny Tim's, knew Dick as well and often spoke of the kindly gentleman who owned it and the wonderful conversations they shared.
May God grant you strength in the coming days and a never ending list of memories of the good times you shared.

Sorry that I can't be there for Uncle Dick's funeral. He was a precious man. There will always be a hole in our family because of his loss.
