RICKY FAST Obituary

RICKY GENE FAST, 63, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked as a construction worker with the Water Proofers & Sheet Metal Union for 30 years, retiring in 2007. Surviving are his sons, Rick (Lydia) Fast and J.J. (Amber) Fast; stepson, Robby Porter; sisters, Sherie (Les) Howard, Jackie Reynolds of Las Vegas, Nev. and Jill Imbody; brother, Mark (Carla) Fast of Churubusco; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Fast. A Celebration of Life is 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd., with memorial calling one hour prior. Private family services will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
