The following obituary is being republished to provide corrected information. ROBERT F. DAVID, 72, of Angola, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Cameron Hospital, Angola. Born April 20, 1931, in Fort Wayne, he retired as a manufacturers representative for Sylvan Marine in New Paris. He was a member of American Legion Post 31, George Anspaugh Post VFW, Moose Lodge, all in Angola, and the NRA. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Judy David of Angola; mother and stepfather, Wilma and Morris Smith of Angola; three sons, Gregory and wife, Michelle David of Fort Wayne, Scott and Renae David of Angola and Richard David of Pleasant Lake; a daughter, Julie and husband, Dan Snyder of Gilbert, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a his father, Lloyd David, in 1971, and sister, Carla Hudecki. Service is 10 a.m. Monday, with visitation one hour prior, at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. Visitation is also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial at Mount Zion Cemetery. Memorials to Steuben County Cancer Society or NRA.
