Robert William Urbine

ROBERT WILLIAM URBINE, 70, Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at his residence. Born Aug. 18, 1935, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Violet Gebhardt Urbine of Fort Wayne, and the late Herman Urbine. He was a retired insurance agent. He was the owner of Insurance Agencies in Greensboro and High Point. He attended St. Therese Catholic Church, Mooresville. He was an avid pilot and owner of numerous planes. He was a member of the War Birds of America and attended and flew in numerous air shows in his T-28 airplane. The family would like to express their thanks to all of the nurses and doctors at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center who helped care for Mr. Urbine. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 50 years, Kay Frances Archibald Urbine; children, Kevin Urbine of Bryce Mountain, Va., Kent Urbine, of High Point, and Kerry "Whip" Urbine of Mooresville; brother, Don (wife, Sheila) Urbine of Fort Wayne; nieces, Andrea (husband, Tony) Arp of Dewitt, Iowa, and Alycia (husband, Jeff) Robinson of Ossian; nephew, Greg Urbine of Conway, S.C.; cousins, Elaine Albert and Gene Snyder, both Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith St., Suite 203, Davidson, N.C. 28036 or St. Therese Catholic Church, 217 Brawley School Road, Mooresville, N.C. 28117.
