Ronald Fecher Obituary

Ronald Lee Fecher, 83, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on September 26, 2025, peacefully at Lutheran Life Villages. A native of Mishawaka, IN was born March 1, 1942, to the late Kenneth & Esther (nee. Zumbrunnen) Fecher. For 32 years he taught in the Fort Wayne Community School System and retired in 1997. Ron as he was known, was a member of the North East Indiana Athletic Officials - NEIAO. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Karen; a daughter, Kristine (Charles) Fedorka; 2 grandchildren, Jessica and Wyatt Fedorka. A Visitation Celebrating Ron's life will be held 5-7 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave. (46805). No services. We are truly heartbroken to hear of Ron´s passing. We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to get to cherish the home you two shared for so many years. Wishing nothing but peace to your heart in this difficult time.

As a retired IHSAA Track & CC official I had worked many track and field meets with Ron. When I worked a meet with Ron I knew that his professional demeanor and knowledge would result in a well run meet. He will be missed.
