ROY STUCKEY

ROY STUCKEY, 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at his residence in Leo. Born in Leo, Roy was a retired home builder and a life long farmer. He was raised Mennonite, which played a major role in how he lived his life. The Stuckey homestead, where the Stuckey family was raised, is now the neighborhood of Lionsgate. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Loretta Jean Stuckey; daughter, JoAnne (Allen) Springer of Fort Wayne; son, William Stuckey of Fort Wayne; son, Michael (Brenda) Stuckey of Auburn; daughter, Beth (Charles) Seitz of Missoula, Mont.; daughter, Yvonne Stuckey of Fort Wayne; son, Donald (Wanietta) Stuckey of Spencerville; son, Loren (Lonnie) Stuckey of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" and Leah Stuckey; son, Timothy Stuckey; brothers, Howard, Clayton, and David Stuckey; and sisters, Pearl and Vera. One day after celebrating his 66th wedding anniversary on July 6, he began his battle with a severe illness before returning home to pass. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 14717 Amstutz Rd, Leo with calling one hour prior. Pastor Brad Miller officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road. Burial in Leo Cemetery, Leo, Ind.
