Sally Ann Schnitz

Sally Ann Schnitz, 85, of Fort Wayne, left this earthly life for her eternal life in Heaven on Sunday September 7, 2025, Born April 6, 1940 and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Sally moved to Indiana shortly after graduating high school. She worked primarily as a secretary for many of her early working years. From 1981-1983, she partnered with a friend to begin their own family business, Inflatable Flowers, a balloon bouquet delivery company because she "loved to make people happy". In 1987, she became a District Manager for Christmas Around the World, a job she adored. During her 12 years with that company, she was very successful and because of her hard work, she earned trips all over the world each year. She was also a deposition typist for over 20 years and could type 92 words per minute with no errors! Sally was known for her beautiful big smile, her generosity, and her empathy for those in need or hurting. Her giving and caring heart was displayed in many ways. She volunteered for the MDA, March of Dimes, The Mission, The Lion's Club, Samaritans Purse, and the U.S. Army. She was the first one to make a meal, offer help, give money, send a card, or make a visit to any friend or family member in need. Sally was a great cook and liked to make food for others as often as she could. Her favorite hobby was flower gardening and everywhere she lived, she added as many flowers as she could to her yard (and some of her neighbors too). She was also an avid card player and enjoyed playing weekly games with her friends for many decades. To those who survive her, Sally was a loving, caring and supportive mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, caretaker, companion, neighbor, and the most loyal and kind friend to many people throughout her life. There will be a celebration of this beautiful woman's life at 12:00PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at The Village Tap in Fort Wayne.
