SANDRA LEE SHEPARD

SANDRA LEE (SIGLER) SHEPARD, 69, went to her much deserved eternal reward on Sunday, April 17, 2011, 5:20 p.m., at Parkview Hospital. Born Sept. 9, 1941, in Danville, Ill., she was the eldest daughter of Howard and Ethel (Henry) Sigler. Her life was filled with many great accomplishments, especially her caring love of family and compassionate, understanding nature. She was a talented natural artist and enjoyed painting and sewing. She was particularly skilled at genealogy and was working on an extensive family history when she became ill. She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Allen; children, Ann (Don) Nord, Mark (Jean) Shepard, Sharon Welling, Julie (Sandy) Worstine, and Brian Shepard; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; three sisters; two brothers; and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one granddaughter. Mass of Christian Burial is 2 pm, Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Calhoun St., with Father Celso Gomes officiating.
