Dear Goodwins,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Susan was one of my closest friends in high school. Karolina, Susan and I were like the three muskateers. We went to all the CC dances and games every weekend. We also attended St. Joe grade school together. One summer I got a job in Briarwood as a maid for a family whose mother passed away and Susan used to help me clean house. Well we were both convinced that the house was haunted. A lot of unexplainable things happened. We would talk and talk and get scared and leave only to go back later and start again. We did a lot of laughing that summer. I last saw Susan at a CC reunion and Karolina was a no show, we went right to the pay phone and talked with her for an hour! Sue will be missed. I want you to know that she is in my prayers (and the whole family too). With Respect and Sympathy

Dear Steve and family,

I just now heard the news about Sue, and I'm still in a state of disbelief as I'm sure you may still be also. I will always remember Sue as an intelligent, incredibly organized, yet somehow easy going, easy to talk to person. I loved our trip to Stockton Island with you both, and how much fun we had hiking and picking blueberries.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We were not at the funeral because we simply were not aware of the situation. Please know we would have been there had we known.

We will keep in touch --please let us know if there is anything that we can do.

Sincerely,

Pam and Jay Halling

To Steve and the Farrell Family,

I know only a small part of your sorrow, for you have lost Sue who was entwined in your lives, and I, a friend. With the come and go of our acquaintance, Sue gave me gifts I’ll always remember; smiles, laughter, hugs and some of her time…what wonderful things she must have given you. I pray that those closest to each of you will bring earthly comfort as you go forward with only your memories of Sue, and that those memories and our gracious Lord will keep Sue alive forever.

With Love,

Sue was a good friend and always made me feel welcome and a part of the squadron after my husband died, as did others, and for that I will always be grateful. Hugs to you all.

As Sue was a fellow peer and Commander during my watch year,

I can't express how sorry Mary and I are to have heard this

terrible news.

We enjoyed traveling with Sue to New Orleans, and had the

opportunity to have dinner, attend meetings together, and

she was really a great person to know and fun to be with.

She was a great asset to the United States Power Squadrons,

who quietly and compentently got things done.

Her passing leaves a great void in our midst, and she will

be missed.

Steve (and all of Sue's family) -

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Sue touched many lives. Working along side her in St Mary's Cath Lab I saw patients and staff alike respond to her warmth and humor. She was a truly outstanding nurse who taught me many things. I will miss Sue as a colleague - but can only imagine how profoundly each of you will miss her. May your memories comfort you in the difficult days ahead.
