WAYNE LEE TEMPLE, 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. Born in Anderson, Ind., Wayne was the son of the late Herman and Mary Temple. Wayne earned his associates degree in accounting from IVY Tech and his bachelor's degree from Ball State University in sales management and merchandising. He was a sales manager with Lance Snack Foods and Hostess for many years prior to his retirement in 2011. He was a member of Blackhawk Ministries, where he served as a greeter for over 20 years. Wayne loved the Lord. He enjoyed spending time with his godkids, nieces and nephews, and doing community service for the Republican Party. Surviving are his wife, Maretia "Marty" Temple of Fort Wayne; brother, Loren "Fred" Temple of Muncie; sisters, Shirley Rosinski of Florida, Gloria Jean Temple of Muncie; step-children from a previous marriage, Billy, Cleveland, Eddie, and Elizabeth Grayson, all of Muncie; godchildren, Lucas and Olivia Smith, both of Muncie; many nieces and nephews; best friend of over 60 years, David Barker of Muncie; special sister-in-law, Darleen Lowman; special brother-in-law, David Turner; and pet cats, Skeeter and Sammy. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 East State Blvd., with calling from 9 a.m. until the service. Pastor Kevin Rivers officiating. Private entombment in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, Ind. Memorials may be made to SCAN. D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., is handling arrangements. Marty, we are so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He's been a good neighbor to us for so many years now. We are remembering how excited the kids used to get when the doorbell would ring and it would be him bringing us an armload of boxed cookies and treats from his work. He will be missed.

Dear Marty,
I was so surprised and saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. I know that he is with his Lord and Savior and free of all the limitations he suffered with on earth. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sadly, I am unable to attend Wayne's memorial service as I am in Kingston for hip rehab. Know that I am with you in mind.
