I have known Bette for many years and she has always been one of my favorites! I treated her when she accidentally broke her ankle and for many issues regarding her mobility since then. We shared many stories, antidotes, memories and pleasant conversations since then. She was very conversant over the past few months, smiling and sweet.
I will always remember her...

I'm so sorry to hear of your loved and deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.

I hope, at the end, Bette considered me a friend, because I sure did look at her as one. I met Bette late in her life, sometime this past spring. I'm a Hospice volunteer for Cornerstone VNA and was asked to visit with Bette. Bette was wary of me at first, not making eye contact or talking much, but then she never did talk much but what she did say was worth listening to. I read Little House on the Prairie to Bette. She sometimes helped hold the book as I read. We went through almost three books together. She was a good audience and I really liked her. I will miss her.
