Carolyn Plummer Obituary
Carolyn was born on March 24, 1956 in Melrose, Mass. She received her nurses degree in 1977 from Berkshire Community College and attended Berkshire Christian College where she met her husband.
Carolyn was an exceptional nurse, an example to young, an encouragement to old, and a friend to all. She was dedicated to her profession, and her skill and knowledge were second to none. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years, a CNOR and a member of AORN. She worked in the operating room at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, N.H. for 25 years and most recently at Concord Orthopaedic Surgery Center. She also held other positions over her career including school nurse in Somersworth, N.H., a nurse at Camp Brookwoods in Alton, N.H., and roles in other surgery centers, doctors offices and hospitals.
More than anything Carolyn loved her children and grandchildren. She loved being a Mia and was so proud and happy to be a grandmother. Her favorite times were when all of her family could be together capturing the memories. She looked forward to family vacations at Newfound Lake, and cherished those moments.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Rev. Donald Plummer; daughter, Christie and her husband Nathaniel Goodwin of Strafford; son, Andrew and his wife Kim of Nashua; and six grandchildren, Travis, Bentley, Adelaide, Shane, Caleb, and Levi. Her parents Norman and Carol Small of Gilmanton; her brother Rev. Steven Small and wife Kelley of Bridgewater; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn loved the Lord, and we look forward to seeing her again. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
SERVICES: Family and friends may visit Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, N.H.
The funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Advent Christian Church, 34 Eastern Ave, Rochester, NH.
Private burial will be held in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made through Samaritian's Purse.org

I have so many precious memories of working with Carolyn. We worked together in the O.R. at both WDH and the Surgery Center. Carolyn was always a pleasure to be around and she had so many cute sayings. my favorite one was when she would say, "Thank you for coming" when she would see you first thing in the morning. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever.

Don, I sorry for lost of your wife. There no words to describe what you are feeling now. I lost my husband of 30 years also five years ago and my brother three months ago. My heart was so broken all I did was cried and felt lost. Please let yourself grief it shows your love for your wife. It takes time to heal a broken h heart and Our is in the business. Dear Don ad family,
May God's love make your grief bearable. My family vacationed with Carolyn's family many summers when she was young. My girls looked up to and respected her as their older cousin. Those times will be golden memories in my book of life. To Don, Christie, Andrew and all of the Plummer family,
Please accept our condolences on Carolyn's passing. We will aways remember the gift of comfort she gave us when she changed her schedule so she could be our little girl's nurse for surgery. Knowing Carolyn was in the OR with our little girl, knowing she was lifting her before the Lord during the procedure and knowing that Sarah would see a familiar face before and after when we couldn't be with her was such a blessing. We are sure this is just one of many,many examples of how Carolyn touched lives. We are so sorry for the loss of beloved Carolyn. Words cannot express how our hearts are breaking along with yours.
