Chris Marcotte Obituary

Chris Marcotte

ROCHESTER - Chris Marcotte, age 33, died unexpectedly at his home in Rochester, on Saturday, May 24th, 2014.

He was born March 20th, 1981 in Peterborough, and spent his childhood and teen years in his hometown of Brentwood. He attended Swasey Central School and graduated from Exeter High School in 1999.

He is the beloved son of Don Marcotte of Barrington, and Debra (Whitham) Marcotte of York, Maine. and brother of Cam Marcotte of Barrington. He met the love of his life, Allison (McKay) Marcotte in July 2001 and they were married in June 2007. They made their home in Rochester in August 2008.

Chris was a third generation flooring contractor and owned his own business. He was a master at his trade and his many clients regarded him highly as a person and a craftsman.

He loved hockey and played from a young age, belonging to several leagues over the years. He also loved to watch the Bruins, Monarchs and UNH teams play. He loved the outdoors - hiking, biking, camping, and watching the birds.

He took great pride and pleasure in transforming his house into a beautiful home. His attention to detail is apparent in every corner, as it is in the homes of his clients.

He enjoyed spending time with his extended family and loved them all as we did him. His kind and loving manner endeared him to everyone who knew him. His easy smile, sense of humor and caring nature drew people to him and he had many friends who enjoyed his company.

Always a loving and thoughtful son, grandson, brother, husband, son-in-law, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. We will love and miss him always.

As well as his parents, brother and wife he is survived by his grandparents: Dorothy Marcotte of Methuen, Mass., Lucille Saturley of Troy, George and Carol Whitham of Northport, Florida, his mother-in-law Elise McKay of Epping, his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his "niece" Teagan.

A celebration of his life will take place sometime in July. In the meantime the family asks that you honor him in a way that reflects what you shared with him or with his family.

I just found out today about Chris passing. I am in utter shock, just want to say I will miss him very much, his smile and balding head! He was always a pleasure to work with and we worked on many projects together, I only wish I had got to know him on a more personal level. Working the trades can do that to us...God Bless and i will see you on the other side brother. RIP
