David Hersom Obituary

LEBANON, Maine - David L. "Skip" Hersom, 64, of 261 Center Road died Thursday April 26, 2018 at his home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Nov. 11, 1953 in Rochester, N.H., the son of the late Clarence and Yvonne (Gilbert) Hersom. Skip has resided in this area all of his life and worked as a machinist for Pratt Whitney Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Members of his family include his sons, Keith Hersom of Lebanon, Chad Hersom of Rochester; daughter, Lori Cutter and husband Mark of Lebanon; grandchildren, Joel, Alex, Joey, Hailey, Olivia, Brett and Brooke; and the mother of his children Terri M. Dugas of Lebanon.

At his request there will be no services.

Arrangements are under the care of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.

Dear Terri, our sympathies to you and your family, Skip fought his illness bravely going on with living his life, coming to Gilbert cousins get togethers, I will always remember his quiet manner, slight smile with a twinkle of mischief. He is now free from pain and that is consoling.

Skip was my cousin! He was a fighter and had been fighting cancer for a long, long time, but sadly lost the battle.
He will be missed at our cousin reunions. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. He was a good man and will be sorely missed by all. RIP Skip!
