Jonathan Gray Obituary
He was born February 24, 1983, in Portsmouth, N.H. the beloved son of Robert Lee and Kathleen Marie (Shakelton) Gray.
A graduate of Marshwood High School in 2001, he went on to become a hard worker for multiple companies including Turbocam, Atlantic Great Dane, Novel Iron Works, and most recently the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Jon was an avid fisherman, had a love for the woods, and cherished above all else time spent with his son Matt. The two enjoyed many sunny days hiking Mount Aggie and walking through Vaughn Woods.
Jon will be remembered for his smile, his wonderful ability to make people laugh, and for his devotion to family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Rob and Kathy Gray of South Berwick, Maine; son Matthew Gray and his mother Tristy Collins of Berwick, Maine; sister Sarah Gray of Cumberland, Maine; brother Caleb Gray of Yarmouth, Maine; paternal grandparents Paul and Gloria Gustafson of York, Maine; maternal grandparents Paul and Anne Henry of York, Maine, and the dearest of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
A memorial service to honor Jon will be held at the Spring Hill Lodge in South Berwick on Friday, July 3, 2015, beginning at 12 p.m. Arrangements are by McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home South Berwick, Maine.
Memorial donations may be made to Mount Agamenticus Conservation, York Parks and Recreation Dept., 186 York Street, York, Maine 03909.
