Krista Willis Obituary
After graduating high school, she met the love of her life, Robert Willis, while in college in Boston, and they were married for 26 years. Her greatest loves were her family and her God, and some of her great memories revolve around cruises with family and friends, and growing a church. Her boisterous laughter is undoubtedly filling the halls of heaven.
In 2003, Krista moved with her husband, Pastor Robert Willis, to New Hampshire to launch Journey Church. Outside of her family, Journey Church was her number one passion, where she served as the first lady, event coordinator, and environments director. She lived her life to glorify Jesus Christ, and even though she is gone, her strong faith has inspired so many. Through it all, her life's verse, Isaiah 55:8-9 anchored her trust in her Savior.
Krista leaves behind so many family and friends, including those who cared for her during her final days: her husband, Pastor Rob; son Seth and wife Hannah of Farmington, N.H.; daughter Kayla and husband Joshua Howard of Jacksonville, N.C.; parents Clyde and Rosalyn Lowman of Rochester; sister Rochelle Allen and husband Scott of Fayetteville, Ark.; brother Lance Lowman and wife Lucina of Mesa, Ariz.; cherished cousin Mia Tamburri and husband Troy of Pittsburgh, Pa.; cherished cousin Tish Tucholski and husband Jake of White, Pa.; and many more cousins, nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews, loved in-laws, and wonderful friends. Krista is predeceased by her infant sister, Danean.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018, at 10 a.m., at the Next Level Church in Somersworth, N.H., with Pastor Anthony Milas officiating and many ministry co-laborers joining to honor Krista. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Krista's honor to the American Institute for Cancer Research (www.aicr.org) or to Journey Church and its ministries (www.TheJourneyNH.com/give).

I share the grief of a parent who has lost a child too early, too young, but I am also reminded of the joy that only God brings as we remember that for those children life has never been more beautiful than it is right now dancing, singing and praising the loving God who created them and Jesus who died for them. The hard part is being the one left behind. My prayers go out to Clyde and Rosie and to all of those friends and family that knew Krista and loved her. May she always have a place in their hearts.

I met Rob at church in CT when we were teenagers. A little later (1987) my sister Dawn and Rob's brother Ray got married. In 1993 my husband Dave and I moved to Springfield, MO to go to bible college and it was during our time there that I had the privilege to get to know Krista.
We spent a lot of time together while our husbands went to school and worked. We shared meals, exercise class, yard sales and lots of laughs. She was very easy to talk to and was a great friend. She was with me when I went into labor with my first child (now 24). I refused to go to the hospital in false labor because it was 2 weeks before the due date. I waited as long as I could until Krista said, "Marcia you better go to the hospital!". Two hours later David III arrived and Rob and Krista were the first visitors! After 2 days in the hospital, I prepared to go home, it was Easter Sunday. I was flooded with emotions, one of which was fear because I was going home as a first time mom. My mother had planned to come out from CT to help but she was to arrive April 17th and D3 was born on the 1st...I thought I would be without my mom. As Dave and I opened the door to our apartment I saw Krista and Rob's sister Kim standing there holding a video camera & camera. I was very surprised and a little confused... the next thing I knew, the swivel chair in the living room spins around and it was my mom! I wept tears of joy and practically collapsed in her arms as she embraced me. Krista got it all on tape. I will never forget that special day nor will I ever forget my special friend. I love and will miss you dearly Krista!

Dear Clyde, Rose, Rob, and family, I have known Krista since I was about 12. In those couple years that we spent in Seneca Falls knowing your family was a joy, and a lifetime of memories. The visits of your girls coming back to visit and to see them grow in the Lord.
My love for music was always blessed by their love of music and the God that blessed them with their wonderful talents.
As you know, I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer on February 7, 2016. God has allowed me to be strong and know there is a reason for everything that happens in our lives. I have prayed for all your family every day since I learned of Kristas cancer, and I will continue to pray for comfort for each of you.

My heart goes out to all of you. I spent days trying to find the right words to express my feelings, thoughts of Krista's passing. But there are no right words. Krista was an amazing person that touched many peoples lives in many ways including mine. When I think of Krista I am reminded of how strong she was, how faithful she was to the Lord, to her family and friends. Krista was a beautiful person she inside and out. Heaven became more beautiful the day Krista got her wings to fly to heaven.

Dear Rose and Clyde, Linda and I and our whole family are so sad to hear of Krista's passing. Sad because we know how much she will be missed by you, her husband and entire family. Krista was such an amazing women. She was such a Blessing to have as a friend. It was so easy to talk to her. She treated me as one of the family. I knew Krista as a young girl in NY where we first met her parents, Clyde and Rosie. Such wonderful, fun loving, God loving people. Clyde would pray for my husband's salvation although he didn't really know him at that time. He would get saved and our family would grow to love Jesus as well. What a wonderful legacy Krista is leaving behind. A wonderful woman, a wonderful testimony, a wonderful God! We continue to pray for all who loved her and are left behind. In a moment, a twinkling of the eye, we will one day be reunited...

I met the Willis Family when my family attended The Journey Church. My fondest memory of Krista was when she held my newborn son Luke Cardinal. The look on her face was genuine!
