Michael McMahon Obituary
Mike was a loving father whose pride could not be contained when describing the accomplishments of his daughter's photography business and nursing career, or the rapid advancement of his son within the US Marine Corps. His three children graduated from Dover High School, where he volunteered to coach boy's soccer.
Born December 1, 1962, in Oslo Norway to Michael McMahon Sr., and Alma McMahon (formerly Thuv). Graduate of Schenck High School and the University of Maine, with bachelors in computer science. Mike and was a tenured employee of Liberty Mutual Insurance and a highly valued member of the IT department. Known for his sharp analytical skills, Mike helped maintain a worldwide firewall security system while his quick wit (and divine ability to be comically blunt) kept a stressful environment full of laughter.
His passions for the outdoors, hiking, fishing, aviation and travel found him most frequently hiking deep within the White Mountains of New Hampshire, fishing along the shore, or hiking Europe. His tempered skill as an aviation instructor was only surpassed by his love of flight. His gift as a nature photographer won him recognition and awards within the state. Though Mike had an incredible list of accomplishments, he was never one to boast or brag, and many delighted when learning his list of unique skills and attributes.
SERVICES: Per Mike's wishes, a Celebration of Life event will be held at Stoneface Brewing Company, Monday, January 29, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Stoneface Brewing Company is located at 436 Shattuck Way, Newington, NH 03801.
In lieu of flowers or donations, a letter drop box will be available. His family would be honored to hear your stories and memories of him in person or via his Facebook profile.
