Nancy Gray Obituary

ROCHESTER - Nancy Osborne Gray peacefully passed away Friday, October 24, 2015, at Colonial Hill Center, Rochester, N.H., with her children at her side, after a long period of failing health. She made her goal of reaching 80 years old. Born August 21, 1935 in Gonic, N.H. She was the daughter of Downing Osborne and Gretta (Welch) Osborne.

She Graduated Spaulding High School, Rochester, N.H., Class of 1953. She attended Providence Bible College, R.I. She met her lifelong friend in Christ, Carol Hollenbeck. She married Clyde W. Gray (Sonny) October 23, 1954. He was the 'sunshine' of her life, and it was a dark day when he passed suddenly on November 20, 1994. She worked at Clarostat Mfg. in Dover, N.H., where she met her lifelong friend Beatrice Tibbetts, who was like a loving sister to her. She was an avid gardener, loved birds, Wells Beach Maine, all animals except snakes, and her 3 children's dogs, Jake, Stover, and Speedy. Though mom couldn't read sheet music, she could play piano, organ and guitar by ear. We will miss hearing her beautiful music. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Greater Rochester.

Survivors include her two sons Stephen C. Gray of Madbury, N.H., Kenneth C. Gray of Rochester, N.H., and daughter Carol H. Chadwick and her husband Bill Chadwick of Strafford, N.H. Two brothers William Osborne and his wife Louise Osborne of Rochester, N.H., Robert Osborne and his wife Mary Osborne of Rochester, N.H., two sisters Gloria Buttrick and her husband Lewis Buttrick of Rochester, N.H., and June Chase and her husband Zane Chase of Rochester, N.H., 8 grandchildren, 3 great

grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Kenneth Osborne.

SERVICES: Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Greater Rochester, Church St., Gonic, N.H.
