Nancy Tatten Obituary

Nancy A. Tatten
Nancy A. Tatten, of Portsmouth and Rochester NH (Formerly of Natick and Waltham, MA) passed away suddenly on April 3, 2021.
Nancy was born to Marguerite (Vivequin) and James E. Tatten II of Newton, MA. She was the sister of Sue Tatten of Monrovia, Liberia and Barrington, NH; Patricia Kelleher and her husband Francis of MA; James E. Tatten III of Watertown, MA; Maureen Tatten of Barrington, NH; and Janet McGrath and her husband David, of MA. Nancy was the loving Aunt to Christopher and Julianne Kelleher, Ryan and Kyle Tatten, and Russell McGrath. She was the Great Aunt to Jamison Tatten of Manchester, NH. She left behind three loving Aunts, many, many cousins, and some long-time friends. Nancy leaves behind her adopted beloved cat Smokey.
Nancy had a loving and free-spirited heart. She was educated in the Natick, MA school systems. She had a career working with circuit boards to build electronic equipment with her most recent 12-year employment at Dover Flexo Electronics in Rochester NH, until she became disabled in 2019. She collected crystals and gems from mines she enjoyed visiting. Nancy was quite creative with her beadwork jewelry craft. She donated many of her creations in honor of family and friends lost to cancer, plus blessing her family, friends, and anyone in need, with her lovely handiwork. Please say a prayer or do a good deed to brighten someone who is in need or lonely, in memory of Nancy A. Tatten.

I didn't know Nancy, but was drawn to her obituary by the picture of her and her much loved cat. I'm glad I stopped by to read about her life. She must have been a very lovely and caring person. So yes, despite not knowing her I will "say a prayer or do a good deed to brighten someone who is in need or lonely" in her honor. My condolences to Nancy's family , (Smokey) and friends.

Dear Patty,Susan, Janet, Moe and Jimmy my family sends our deepest condolences and prayers. I know Nancy has your mom and dad now and she can be a happy camper again. We have had some hard times her and I but through it all we kept in touch. Nancy has spent a lot of holidays with us as well as just hanging out. My grandkids adored her, she became a family member. We always enjoyed going out for some Lobster macaroni and cheese. Most of all what I’ll personally miss about her was her sense of humor and quick wit.... which sometimes could get twisted between the two us. Tom (my husband) put Nancy’s flooring for her at her trailer, but he didn’t do so good with the picnic tablewe could not stop laughing. We will all miss you Nancy Pants☦ Tom, Lisa, Stacia, Jocelyn, Olivia, Jack
