Lorraine,Chuck & Diane, Jim and Judy and Family,
My husband and I worked with Ray for years at Davidson Rubber.
You have received so many warm and thoughtful memories from all of us ("the crew")... on line.
We just wanted to say we are saddened, for you, for your loss.
Ray was a good friend (and co-worker) to so many of us.
He is gone, for now, but for the rest of "us" (who are in denial with this sad news)... we will never forget the professional, courteous, and down-to-earth "I can Fix This" (and he could!) attitude of this man.
Our deepest sympathies to all of the Parcell family at this hard time in their lives.
Most sincerely yours,
Ellery and Terrie Nickerson

God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arm around him
And whispered "come with me".
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
and saw him fade away,
Although we loved him dearly
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands to rest,.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
My prayers are with you all. In the short time I knew him, he left an impression on my heart that will last forever.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

I love you Ray, and I'm going to miss you so much. You stepped up and took care of / put up with my Nana Lorraine Rose, and became a father to my mom Deborah and my aunt Tammy. You also took the role of my only grandfather and I am proud to say I am fortunate to call you that. I will always remember your sarcasm and exaggerated stories; how you would make funny faces behind my Nana's back when she was talking or how, for years, I believed you when you told me you were on the show "Howdy Doody". At every family event I would always ask if you were going to be there, because I enjoyed being around you and hearing your jokes. I remember you telling my boyfriend and I about how you were a model and you were "geoorgeous" while you slicked your hair back with your hands. You never got a chance to show us your modeling pictures, or teach us how to make your famous cake. You were a genuinely kind and caring person. All the neighborhood cats are going to wonder where you went when there is no new food out front for them. It makes me sad to think that little 'Bella will never get a chance to know you, but I know we'll all talk about you, and remember you forever. I love you Ray, and I'm going to miss you so much. You've survived a lot in your life and always had that smile on your face that I will never forget. You had a big heart; I know you will be watching over a lot of people. Rest in peace Ray, your old dog Trixy has been waiting for you for a long time.
