Roberta Violette Obituary

Roberta "Bobbie" Violette
Roberta "Bobbie" (Karbowniczak) Violette, 75, passed away on June 30, 2021 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida after a lengthy illness. She was born and grew up in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of Wanda and Dr. John Karbowniczak. She leaves her beloved husband Paul, and her loving daughter Carey Jones.
Bobbie graduated from Rivier College in 1966. She lived in Dover, NH, teaching first and third grades in the Dover schools for over 30 years. During her teaching career Bobbie dedicated herself to her students and loved passing out hugs. Bobbie and Paul retired to Marco Island, Florida before settling in Fort Myers. In addition to her husband and daughter, She is survived by her sister Marcia Petrillo and her husband Charles; sister Wanda Karbowniczak; nieces Lynn Petrillo, Tracee Murphy, and Joanna Mahoney; and great nieces and nephew Charlotte Petrillo, Claire, Audrey, and Rory Mahoney.
Bobbie will be remembered for her caring and joyful demeanor, her sense of humor, and her love of nature.
The family would like to thank her numerous caregivers especially the nurses, CNAs, and doctors at Gulf Coast Medical Center. Services for Bobbie will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobbie's memory to the American Diabetes Association. https://www.diabetes.org/

Mrs. Violette was an amazing teacher. She made learning fun for her students and she made sure that they were always engaged in their learning. She had a kind heart and was a wonderful person. She remained a friend to me even after my children were out of school. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

mrs violette was the only teacher that had all 3 of my sons in 3rd grade. each of them had a wonderful year with her. she was so kind and funny and our sons loved her. she was the kind of teacher/person that all teachers should aspire to. we'll always remember her. the boisvert family
