In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert N. Gillis Jr., who passed away Dec. 23, 1999; two brothers, Harold J. Forbes and George S. Forbes; a half-brother, Carl M. Forbes; three sisters, Dorothy M. Cochrane, Ethel L. Forbes and Barbara G. Perkins; and a half-sister, Arlene L. Foster.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Edward Therrien of Rochester; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Walda Gillis of Rochester; a son, William Gillis and close friend, Sharon Lehman of Barrington; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Gillis of Rochester; former daughter-in-law, Carol Carr of Monroe, Maine; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
