Betty Louise Norris

1932 - 2023

CANON - Betty Louise Collins Norris, 90, of Hartwell, formerly of Canon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023.
She was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Walton County, the daughter of the late John Willis Collins and Callie Glass Collins. She retired from Boaz Manufacturing after more than 36 years of service. She was a member of Lavonia Church of God.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Norris, and a brother, J.W. Collins.
She is survived by her son, Glenn (Margie) Norris of Canon; daughters, Ann (Burton) Bryant of Royston, Donna (Johnny Mac Smith) Hanley of Danielsville, Michelle (Ronny) Dove of Hartwell and Kimberly (Jeff) Alicki of Lavonia; sisters, Helen (Jackie) Ollis of Nichols, Elizabeth Romero of Hull and Nancy Ann Puckett of Winder; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Friday at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Lavonia, with the Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. Burial was in Bowers Memorial Park in Canon.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
