Ronald Frost Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Harry Frost on September 23rd after a long 15-year battle with Parkinsons. He was husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Ronald was born February 18, 1945, in Northampton, MA to the late Harry and Florence (Rackham) Frost. After graduating from Northampton High School, Ron enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Larson Air Force Base in Moses, Washington, as well as Goose Bay in Labrador. Following his military service, he pursued a career in sales, working for companies such as Caldor, Motorola, and several others throughout the years. Ron was a lifelong sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed playing softball in his younger days. He also shared his love of the game by coaching his daughter's Lassie League teams. Outside of work and sports, Ron had a deep appreciation for classic 1950s music, car shows and fishing. Ron leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Teresa (Wanat) Frost. Their bond was a constant source of strength and love. Together they raised three children, Michelle Woodger and her late husband Doug, Kimberly Oravec and her husband Greg and Bryan Frost and his wife, Sarah. Along with the "Super Seven" grandchildren: Macy, Alex, Madi, Jackson, Anna, Jamison and Ayla. His brother Howard Frost, Sisters-in-law Sue Grader (Lou), Charlene Chmura, Ann Marie Ilnicky, several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, his children, and especially his grandchildren, who brought him so much joy. He cherished every moment with them from fishing, to watching them dance, attending music performances, and cheering them on while playing sports - never missing a chance to be there, even on his most difficult days. His steady presence, sense of humor, and the quiet strength he carried will forever remain in their hearts. He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in those who knew and loved him. Ron's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at the VA in Leeds for their compassionate care and unwavering support throughout Ron's journey. Their kindness, attentive treatment, and genuine concern made all the difference and brought comfort to both Ron and his loved ones during his visits there. Calling hours will be Monday September 29, 2025, from 4-7 PM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME OF NORTHAMPTON. Funeral will be on Tuesday September 30, 2025, at 9AM in the Funeral Home followed by a Prayer Service at 10 AM. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Florence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306. Terry and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. We are reminded of those earlier days when we were in the stands and foodbooth together watching Bryan and our boys playing youth football. Fast forward to the stands of NHS to watch our granddaughters play basketball. It's been a lot of years and Ron had to be one of the strongest and most determined people we have ever known. Sending hugs.

Larry and I are so very sorry to read of Ron's passing. We remember Ron when we worked at Caldor in the late 60's, early 70's. Parkinson's takes too many good people.

I knew Ron when he worked for Motorola.
I needed new radios for our delivery trucks and a base. He was very helpful.
My condolences to his family.

Back in the 80´s when Barry Pelc and I operated Plumb Auto, Ron came to us and tried to sell us two radios for all our delivery vehicles. We thought he was crazy. Two expensive, too complicated, Ron persisted. He eventually convinced us. Best decision we ever made and the fun we had with Ron was incredible. Great guy, I´m sure he will be missed by his family and everyone else.
