Anthony Eyler Obituary
Born September 19, 1960 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Ledlie Howard and Virginia May (Shriner) Eyler.
Tony was an FMT3 with the Maryland State Highway Department for close to 30 years. He was planning to retire next year.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing billiards with his friends. Tony was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman Club.
He will be missed dearly by his cats, Shadow and Callie. Tony will be remembered by several great friends.
He is survived by two brothers, Ledlie Roscoe Eyler and wife, Lisa; and Tim Eyler and wife, Brenda; a niece, Trisha (Eyler) Savage, and nephews, Troy Eyler, Nathan Eyler, Kyle Eyler, and their spouses; many great-nieces and nephews, including a special great-niece, Courtney Eyler; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, with a memorial service to begin at 11. Officiating will be Rev. Tim May.
Inurnment will be private at a later date.

I still can't believe this is true.Tony was a great guy.I have cut his hair for 25yrs and during that time we built a friendship.We would talk about our Jeeps and his turkey and deer hunting stories.When he had the Sabillasville 550 route and it would snow I would pick on him and tell him to make sure he had the road cleared for me.He talked about how he was looking forward to his retirement,and it saddens me that he won't get to enjoy it. We never understand why these things happen,I guess God had a plan for him.Tony will be missed.Thoughts and prayer to the family.
