Charles Dillman Obituary

Charles F. Dillman, III, of Pleasant Walk Rd. Myersville, MD, passed away Monday April 18, 2016 at his home.

Born May 4, 1935 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Francis Albert Dillman and Helen Mary (Livingston) Dillman.

He attended St. Francis Catholic School.

Charles was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army.

He retired in 2000 from Airpax Distributor of Frederick, MD.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Boonsboro, MD.

Charles is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores H. (Warrenfeltz) Dillman whom he married March 29, 1958, sons, Dean Dillman and wife Cecilia, Craig Dillman and wife Missy, Charles Dillman, VI and wife Rhonda and Bradford Dillman and wife Kimberly, daughters, Anita Snyder and husband Sherman Snyder, Jr. and Myra Dillman, brother, Roy Dillman and wife Cecilia, sisters, Anna Orner and husband John, Marie Kreig and Ruth Wynn, uncle James Dillman, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday April 21, 2016 at 1:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Mark Waldron officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Walk Cemetery of Myersville. The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Charles to Calvary Baptist Church 5753 Mt. Carmel Church Rd. Boonsboro, MD, 21756 or Hospice of Frederick County 516 Trail Ave. Frederick, MD, 21701.

My sincere condolence to all of you. I remember Mr Dilliman from back went to school and rode the bus with his children to Myersville/Middletown. And when the boys were in scouts with my brothers. I hope you remember all of the good times you had, and know that he is in a better place and he will be there to great you some day.

I worked with Charlie in the shipping receiving area at Airpax. Charlie was always willing to help out whenever and wherever they needed him to. He was a great worker and I missed him when he retired and I will miss him even more now.
