Darlene Tressler Obituary

Darlene Stottlemyer Tressler, 83, of Frederick Maryland, died on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at her granddaughter's residence in Florence, South Carolina. Born in Frederick, MD, she was a daughter of the late Otha J. and Ruth Smith Stottlemyer, Sr. She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Wilbur Jones Tressler; a son, Rodney W. Tressler; a brother, Robert Stottlemyer; a sister, Dorothy Bitner and an infant sister.

Darlene attended Foxville School and worked at Waynesboro Sewing Factory and the Double-Day Book Binding Company. She was a US Postal Carrier in Sabillasville and was a member of Friends Creek Church of God as well as All Saints Church in Florence, SC.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara R. Tressler of Florence, SC and Penny L. Tressler of Frederick, Md.; grandchildren, Dawn M. Boller and Earle G. Boller, both of Florence, SC, and Megan L. Shoop of Columbus, OH.; great-grandchildren, Bradley Fields, Alicia Mundey, Aiden Sohaley and Bentley Brady; great-great grandchild, Damian Mundey; brothers, Otha June Stottlemyer, Jr., Charles Stottlemyer and John Stottlemyer; sisters, Jean Bitner, Judy Jones, Louella Yeager and Betty Schroyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabeties Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
