David Dupont Obituary

The Rev. David Joseph DuPont, 64, of Bunker Hill, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his residence.

Born December 14, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Joseph Alfred DuPont and Nancy Helen (Cates) DuPont.

He was a member of the Inwood Pentecostal Church.

He was a veteran of the National Guard and Army Reserve.

While serving as minister, he was employed by Morningstar Foods in Frederick, Maryland, and retired from both.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa S. Palmer and husband, Sam, of Gerrardstown, Christy M. Butler and husband, John, II, and Patricia A. Baker, all of Martinsburg; seven precious grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter, Faith Marie Butler; and a very special friend, Holly Tribett.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Betty Mae DuPont, on February 25, 2008.

Family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Edward Myers officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
