Diane Lynch Obituary

Diane Marie (Kerlin) Lynch, aged 80, of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. Born on February 5, 1945, Diane dedicated her life to family, community, and her Catholic faith.

A lifelong resident of Montgomery County, MD, Diane was educated at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and Walter Johnson High School. Diane was an embodiment of service, serving in the Lions Club for 40 years and as a parishioner at St. Mary's Parish in Barnesville.

Known for her kindness, she always gathered in friends to become family, especially during Christmas. Wherever she worked, she was known for her full candy basket, teddy bears, and helping everyone. She loved blasting rock music in her car and watching sports, always with a cold Coca-Cola by her side.

She is survived by her husband, William; sons, Kevin (Kathy) and Brian (Carrie); daughter, Kirsten (Rebecca); sister, Karen; stepdaughters Gina (Chris) and Nancy (Brian); grandchildren, Benjamin, Lily, Daniel, David, Alex, Emerson, and Eli. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annunciata (Nan) Kerlin; brothers, David and William, Jr.; and sisters, Kathleen Kellinger and Patricia Cobb.

Diane's life will be celebrated on September 18, 2025 at St. Mary's, Barnesville, MD- Visitation 10 AM; Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Laytonsville Lions Club (PO Box 5111, Laytonsville, MD 20882) or the Wilmer Eye Institute (https://secure.jhu.edu/form/wilmer). Diane Marie Lynch
