Donalee Spradbrow Obituary
Born March 28, 1954, in Maryland she was the daughter of Charles B, Shaffer and Partricia A. Deven Shaffer. She was the wife of James Allan Spradbrow.
Donalee graduated from Atholton High School, Columbia, MD. She began nursing studies at St. Joseph School of Nursing, Towson and graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing from U.M.B.C. Her nursing career began at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington. She then moved to back home to nurse at Howard County General Hospital and various other hospitals including, Sinai, Union Memorial and Mercy Hospitals in Baltimore, Laurel Hospital and 17 years in Cardio Pulmonary Rehab at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Donalee loved and treasured her faith as a Catholic. It was the core of her existence and her love of God that guided her always. She most certainly die in the arms of the Father.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are son and daughter-in-law, William J. and Andrea Spradbrow, daughter, Theresa M. Spradbrow and step-son, Todd Johnson; siblings: Richard and Robert Shaffer, Marilin Redding and Judy Brosky and grandchildren: Jocelyn, Isaac, Elliot, Julia, Bradley and Anna.
A funeral liturgy will be held at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 45 Monroe St., Westminster, MD on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
