Dwight Estes Obituary

Dwight Eisenhower "Ike" Estes, 54, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Friday,-- September 28, 2007 at his home under the care of Hospice.--Born October 1, 1952, in Bethesda, he was the son of the late Everett Virgil Estes Sr. and Olive Virginia Rines Estes.--

He was employed as a painter for the U.S. Capital of Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his son, David Eugene Estes; daughter, Tracy Lynn Armentrout and her husband, Jeff; and one grandchild, Chantal Harli Armentrout, all of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four brothers, James W. Estes and wife Patricia, of Alabama, Douglas M. Estes and his wife Beverley, of Martinsburg, W.Va., William D. Estes and wife Janice, of Frederick, and Bradley S. Estes Sr. of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Carolyn "Lump" Oakes and her husband Ralph, of Walkersville; Gail Estes McDonald, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy E. Estes and Everett V. Estes Jr.; two sisters, Barbara A. Miss and Charlotte Louis; and one nephew Bradley S. Estes Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Darnestown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Darnestown.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Brown Funeral Home's South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood.

-------- Pall bearers will be Jason Estes, Everett Estes, Ronnie Jenkins, Matt "Smiley" Cooney, Timmy Miller, and Johnny Walters.--Honorary Pallbearers will be John Hanlin, Jimmy Walters, Brad Oliver and Jim Halbert.
