Died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital
He was the beloved spouse of Audrey (Dorsey) Lyles.
Fred Leon Lyles, Sr. was born November 23, 1934 in Fountain Hills, MD the son of the late Clarence Sterling and Helen Louise (Hacky) Lyles.
Mr. Lyles was a truck driver for United Disposal, Laidlaw and Wildcat Refuse Company. He enjoyed playing Dominos, Checkers and Horseshoes. He was a member of Fairview UMC
Devoted father of Krista Rena Lyles of Mt. Airy, Tawanda Annette and husband Andre` Bailey of Frederick, Timothy Lee and wife Trudy Lyles of Frederick, Fred Leon and wife Diane Lyles, Jr. of Hagerstown. 6 grandchildren: Marcus, Kayla, Timothy, Jr. Steven, Ashli, Iesha, 3 great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Michael and Isaiah. Loving brother of Christine Dorsey of Mt. Airy, Shirley Moore of Frederick, Laura Williams of Frederick, MD , Rudolph Lyles of Gaithersburg, Howard Eugene Lyles, James T. Lyles , late Sterling Clarence Lyles, late William Lester Lyles and late Daniel Lyles, late Helen Louise Prather, late Mary Jane Naylor and late Nettie Ambush
The Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 2-4 and 6-8 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD Where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD.
