Hal was one of the funniest guys I've known. Neighbors in Braddock, played football, basketball and ice hockey in the neighborhood often. If you could catch the meanings in his humor, and you had to be sharp, a few minutes later would produce an a-ha moment. A true brainiac. Nude sprint across African plains? Perfect. Condolences to the family from the Bucheimers.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my old soccer buddy from Governor Thomas Johnson High School. Hal and I had the privilege to play side by side at Fullback on the very first Varsity Boys Soccer Team at GTJHS in the school year 1974-75. He was a great competitor as well as a loyal teammate and friend. I will miss him very much.

Rest in Peace Mr. Waxter. Deepest sympathy to your family. I remember some of your adventurous stories each time I walk you to the hallway when you get your treatments along with your happy, colorful polo shirts.
