Herbert Kessler Obituary

Mr. Herbert R. "Ron" Kessler, 62, of Gerrardstown, W.Va., died Saturday, July 12, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Aug. 12, 1940, he was a son of Marjorie A. Kessler of Woodbine, and the late Herbert F. Kessler.

He graduated from Mount Airy High School and attended Strayer Business College.

He spent many years employed in accounting for the import/export industry.

Mr. Kessler served in the U.S. Navy.

He was active in music arts in the Baltimore area and continued his passion for the arts in West Virginia.

He volunteered at the veterans hospital in Martinsburg. In recent years he was a district representative for the Martinsburg area AA.

Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, Kirk W. Kessler and wife Patty of Fairplay, and Mark S. Kessler and wife Lisa of Middletown; four nieces, Emily, Kristen, Meghan and Lindsey; and two nephews, Nathan and Timmy.

He also will be remembered by friend, Bill O'Donnell.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Memorial services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to District 11 AA, P.O. Box 2273, Martinsburg, W.Va., 25402; or American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21742.
