Mr. Selby was a fixture in thousands of young boys' journey through sports in Frederick. He, along with Mrs. Selby, were always at a field, always in a gym, always had a smile, always had an encouraging word. I wish there was a way to count just how many games of one sport or another that Mr. and Mrs. Selby watched. We were all better for it. Mike and Phil, thanks for sharing your Dad and Mom with all of us through our younger years. You both and our families are in my thoughts and prayers.

I truly enjoyed several years of working with Howard at K&B. He was a wonderful guy and a pleasure to be around. Our many hours spent talking together with the other K&B staff members made the time less like work and more like visiting with friends. He is fondly remembered...

Howard was a wonderful person. My first experience with Howard was at Keeney Basford Funeral home where he always had a kind word and a smile on his face for you. He and Patia always loved coming to the Shrimp and Oyster Feeds the American Legion baseball sponsored each year. My last time of see Howard was at Montevue Assisted Living. I would always visit with him after I would go visit my elderly friend. Sometimes he would be out with Phil and the ROMEO'S and I would miss him. He also had a great love for baseball even though we liked different teams he was ok with that. I will miss you Howard you were a great friend. My condolences to Phil and Mike and their families. R.I.P. my friend

Uncle Howard was like my second father. As he had no daughters of his own, he always treated us with the love and affection of more than just an uncle. When I had a car accident in my parents first brand new car, shortly after getting my drivers license, I was sure my parents would be furious and the one I called was Uncle Howard! He came immediately to my rescue. I have a million memories of him and Aunt Pac through my life and I have been blessed beyond measure by having him be a part of it. Rest well now Uncle Howard. Love you always!
