Jason Liller Obituary

Jason David Liller, beloved husband, father, son, and grandson, left this earthly abode on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was 44.

Jason was born on December 9, 1980 at Garrett Memorial Hospital in Oakland (Md.). He was one of 13 babies born that day, setting a new record at the time. Jason was raised in Garrett County's farming district in a home on Pleasant Valley Road. Jason attended Southern High School where he was known for his drumming skills in stage, concert, marching and field competitions, with the marching band winning State Finals in 1996. He graduated high school in 1999 and attended Fairmont State University. Over the years Jason worked in construction, electrical work, and he even worked several years as regional manager at Spencer's. But Jason found his true calling when he started working in the sales department for Tate Automotive in Frederick (Md.). His personality along with intelligence were qualities that helped him get named salesperson of the year several times over his nine-year tenure.

Jason would be the first to say that his life didn't really start until he became a father in 2010. His daughter, Janey, was the apple of his eye. The second most important event was meeting the love of his life, Kimberly, with whom he spent the last nine wonderful years.

Jason enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, spinning D&B records, sport shooting, raising arachnids, and literally anything his daughter wanted to do. Jason was a family man - he even sported a family/forever tattoo just like his sister and two other family members.

Jason was preceded in death by his sister, Erica Rosanne Liller, Hagerstown, (Md.), and his only daughter, Jane Anna Michele Liller, Hagerstown (Md.). Also preceding him in death was his paternal grandparents Allen Liller and Anna Pennington.

Jason is survived by his wife Kimberly Liller (nee Crouse); two step children, Matthew Rudy and Amelia Rudy, Hagerstown (Md.); mother and stepfather Michele and Michael Fox, Hagerstown (Md.); father and stepmother Richard and Rebecca Liller, Friendsville (Md.); one brother and sister-in-law Jesse and September Liller, along with niece "Tillie" and nephew "Hank" Liller, Madison (WI); one half brother Gregory Liller, Mentor (Oh.); three aunts, one uncle, and nine cousins. Of special note is Jason's uncle Ryan Kitzmiller, Oakland (MD.), who was like a brother to him, and Darien Flood and son Myles Morley, Newville (Pa.), Jane's birth mother and half brother.

If Jason could give one piece of advice, he'd probably say, "Don't take for granted that you have tomorrow. And never forget: Family is forever."

Visitation will be held at the Liller home, located at 13229 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, MD, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. If you require additional directions, please contact a family member, or Michele Fox, (301) 401-6199.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a GoFundMe that has been established to assist with final expenses and the family's relocation. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the family. Jason David Liller

Aw, Jason. I miss you more each day. I know you just couldn't bear the thought of living on without your Jane. I do understand. It's just hard losing both of you so suddenly. I love you forever, miss you always, my dear son. Take care of Janey and Sissy for me.
