John and I would chat daily at the Amvets #2. Enjoying a beer watching football. It seemed either John or I would win one of the weekly pools. We talked about our times when watched served in the U.S. Air Forces. Towards the end, we both knew his time was getting thin. Last I saw John, I told him, Love you John, he thanked me. He was getting tired of going to the VA hospital. RIP my friend.
