John Trout Obituary

Mr. John E. Trout, 68, of Red Lion, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 9, at Memorial Hospital, York, Pa.

He was the husband of Lillian M. Baumgardner Trout and the late Kathleen Wantz Trout.

Born Sept. 3, 1932, in New Kensington, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul and Mary Galbraith Trout.

Mr. Trout was the owner and operator of the Organ Shop for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Red Lion, and the church choir.

He was a member of the Bainbridge Band, where he played the French horn, and was also a member of the Lyric Band in Hanover, Pa. He was formerly a member of the Gettysburg Symphony Orchestra for more than 30 years, in addition to the Rockville band, the Felton Band, the Frederick Symphony Orchestra, and the Montgomery County Civic Light Opera. He was active in the York Little Theatre.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Keith Trout of Walkersville, and Kerry Trout of Frederick; two daughters, Karla Trout of Hagerstown, and Kristen Hodges of Frederick; two brothers, Thomas Trout of Torrance, Calif., and Karl Trout of Irwin, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Viewing will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, until funeral services begin at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 3050 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion. Mr. Trout's pastor, the Rev. Jonathan Bausman, will officiate.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 488 W. Market St., York, Pa. 17405.

Arrangements are by Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Dallastown, Pa.
