Joseph Bailey Obituary
He was born on October 2, 1959, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Dee Bailey, Sr. and Catherine Lorraine (Ginevan) Bailey.
He was the loving husband of the late Donna Bailey. The were married 26 years at the time of her passing on February 13, 2013.
He is remembered as a joy to be around and he deeply loved his family. Joe worked with the Frederick county public schools before retiring. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping with the Boy Scouts. In his later years, he loved to work at the Thurmont Food Bank and playing with his beloved granddaughter Evelyn.
He was survived by his children Jeremy Bailey and his wife, Alyssa; Katelyn Guilday and her husband, Zach; granddaughter, Evelyn Guilday,; his siblings, Craig Bailey, David Bailey Sr., and Lavina Clem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The familly will be receiving friends at Weller United Methodist Church, 101 North Altamont Avenue, Thurmont, MD 21788 on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00am. Pastor Mark Eyler will officiate.
Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Thurmont Food Bank.
