Joseph Yesko Obituary

Joseph A. Yesko, 75, of Littlestown, PA and formerly of Frederick, MD, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jean M. (Zelinski) Yesko, Littlestown, PA; together they shared 41 years.

Born November 16, 1949 in Erie, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Akus) Yesko.

Mr. Yesko served in the U.S. Army and graduated in 1971 from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He retired from Bechtel after 35 years and was a member of the Eagles in Littlestown, PA, ELKS in Frederick, MD and the American Legion in Gettysburg, PA. Joe was an avid PSU football fan and enjoyed tailgating, fishing, cruising, and a good Black Russian with plenty of ice.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Cynthia Yesko, South Yarmouth, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD with a visitation beginning at 10 AM.

Burial will be private in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Littlestown, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
