Larry Willard Obituary

Larry Willard, 85, of Urbana Maryland, passed away on Friday August 11, 2023, peaceful in Martinsburg, WV. He was born on April 4, 1938 and was the son of the late Roland Willard Sr. and Mary Louise Willard. He was the beloved husband to Janice Willard for 51 years.

Larry was a graduate of Frederick High School class of 1956. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Walter W. King Plumbing were he worked for 35 years. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, reading western books, and watching sports. Larry was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles teams, Washington Capitals.

He is survived by his children, Tammy Brautigam (Joe), Michael Wayne Willard, Kimberly Albaugh, Krista Willard, and Jason Willard, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Roland, Eugene Willard Jr. He will be remembered by his numerous other family. relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Michael Albaugh.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Friday August 18, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. A funeral service will held at the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD 21770, on Saturday August 19, 2023 at 11am. Interment will be held privately.

The entire FHS Class of 1956 sends their deepest condolences to the children and grandchildren upon your loss of Larry, (Dad and Granddad). He was a fine classmate and is remembered for his aqua-green Plymouth and flashy red truck while in school, according to the yearbook. He shall be missed.
