To the Romano Family: I just learned of Linda's passing from my cousins, the Jeffers family, who were good friends of Linda's. I am so sorry to hear this news, and you have my sincere sympathy. I met Linda when her children were students at Frederick High School in the mid '80s, and she was one of the most vivacious women I've ever met. Her laughter and smile were far bigger than her petite size might suggest. I loved the sparkle in her eyes. When I got married, I turned to Linda to create my bridal bouquet and floral arrangements. She gave her energy to designing exactly what I wanted, and she delivered them with so much love on the day of the wedding. I am sure that her love for her family, and her energy, will be great memories for you all--may they provide comfort.

Dear Nino and family,
I am truly sorry to see that Linda has passed. I did not know that she had fallen ill again. Although I did not know Linda well, she was such a delight whenever I would run into her at Wegman's or elsewhere. She was always upbeat and no one would ever have known she was carrying many burdens of being ill deep inside. She truly loved every single family member and was loved by so many who were fortunate enough to say they knew her and admired her. Linda did not have a lazy bone in her body and I know went the extra mile for anyone who needed a little "something extra." God bless all of you as you go through this journey of transition. Linda would want all of you to be strong and to honor her with your outpouring of love. That's all a mother could ever ask for.
God bless,
Treva Siedling and Ted Manakas

I had the privilege and honor of knowing Linda over these past several years & I will always treasure our long talks, her wit & humor, her love & devotion to her family, & her “spunk” for life. I remember after I visited her in the Hospital after her initial surgery for the cancer, she said to me, “I will be fine-this may not of been my journey for my life that I would have chosen, but it evidently is the journey that Jesus has for me & I will be fine, no matter what the outcome.” What a testament to her faith, & over these past several years with Linda battling this disease, I watched & witnessed such an amazing woman with fortitude, zest for life, & wanting to live every day fully-she will truly be missed by all who knew her & I know that the flowers in Heaven are going to be a little brighter, fuller, & well taken care of now that she is there.

I am fortunate to have gotten to know Linda by way of visiting her for the past year, on Sunday mornings to bring her Holy Communion. Always had great stories sharing tears or laughs about family, friends and faith. She made me a Bird of Paradise floral arrangement & Christmas wreath, both of which I treasure in her memory. She was my friend & I will miss those visits, her smile and that signature red lipstick she wore. She always talked about Dorino, her children and grandchildren with a gleam in her eye. A very giving person who loved her family, as they love her. I became a better person having known her.

Mrs. Romano was 1 of a kind. Her laugh was contagious and her heart was so big. I have many wonderful memories of growing up near the Romano family.
I know the pain you are going through is tremendous and words don't heal the heart but please know how much your mother meant to so many people. She is now reunited with your father which is a beautiful thing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Romano family - I am so sorry for your loss. Your family - and your mom in particular - has influenced my life in so many positive ways. From her welcoming smile; infectious laugh; and, joie de vivre, she was a constant source of happiness and forever a reminder to live life to the fullest. She was also my first introduction to one of my greatest loves - Italian Food! To this day, I can’t eat a slice of pizza without thinking of your mom and the first time I ate her delicious pizza (or the time I ate myself sick by refusing to stop eating)! A few years ago, she introduced my kids to the Klondike bar - they still talk about her every time they can get their hands on one. Know that your mom leaves a great legacy and I hope your many happy memories help sustain you through the difficult days ahead. Deepest Sympathies and all our Love, Steven, Shelby, Ethan & Siena Lewis
