Michael Horman

1952 - 2023

Michael S. Horman (The Plumber), age 71 of Woodsboro MD. passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was the husband of Sue Horman, his wife of 52 years. Mike was born June 2, 1952 in Frederick MD. He was the son of the late Harold (Gus) Horman Sr. and Margaret Nusz Horman. Mike graduated from Linganore High school in 1970. Mike owned and operated his own plumbing business for over 40 years. He enjoyed his job and the customers he met. Mike was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor. When he wasn't working, Mike enjoyed monthly card games with friends, local bingo, and challenging friends and family to a game of checkers. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Orioles. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his son, Michael J. Horman and wife Sharon of Woodsboro MD, daughter Charlotte L. Kane and husband Ed of Arnold MD, 3 grandchildren, Evan Kline and wife Paige of Frederick MD, Gabrielle Cohen and husband Taggert of Monrovia MD, and Garrett Kline and fiance Kassidy Page of Frederick MD. Mike also had 2 great grandsons that he said were the "light of his life" Rhett and Reed Cohen and a sister, Terri Horman of Mt. Airy MD, and a large extended family in the surrounding areas. Mike was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Harold (Bill) Horman Jr. and Steven P. Horman. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 1 at 2 PM at the Woodsboro American Legion.
